Armenian Education Minister and Polish Ambassador discuss opening of Armenian Studies Center in a Polish university
YEREVAN, July 27. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Zhanna Andreasyan and Poland's newly-appointed Ambassador to Armenia Piotr Skwiecinski discussed prospects of deepening cooperation in education sector, the ministry said.
"We already have successful experience and great potential of cooperation with Poland. There are new prospects of cooperation in higher education, especially interesting is the possibility of exchanging experience in higher education management," the minister was quoted as saying.
She proposed to discuss the possibility of establishing a Center of Armenian Studies in a Polish university, which would allow developing inter-university cooperation.
The Minister also proposed to consider the possibility of holding Days of Armenian Culture in Poland and Days of Polish Culture in Armenia.
In turn, Ambassador Skwiecinski said, 'We are especially interested in the possibility of exchanging students, the establishment of an Armenian Studies Center in one of the Polish universities, in holding mutual Days of Culture. We will be glad to host Armenian youth in our country to study at various educational levels," Skwiecinski said.
The Ambassador reminded that Poland has a large Armenian community, which has historically played a significant role in the life of the country. --0--
