Armenia to remain under impact of heat waves from Arabian deserts for several days more
YEREVAN, August 14. /ARKA/. Armenia's Hydrometeorological and Monitoring Center said today that daytime temperatures on August 14-18 in Ararat Valley, in the capital Yerevan and in the southern province of Syunik will be between 40-42 degrees Celsius.
It said also that on August 14-18, high fire danger is expected in Yerevan, Ararat Valley, Aragatsotn foothills, Kotayk and Vayots Dzor provinces as well as across Syunik and Tavush valleys.
The wind will blow from southwest with gusts up to 2-3 m/s. The wind may increase up to 13-16 m/s on August 14-15 in the foothills of Aragatsotn and Kotayk, as well as in Armavir in the evening hours.
The air temperature will not change significantly in the coming days.
