Armenia to introduce certification for penitentiary employees
YEREVAN, March 13. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Justice Ministry has drawn up a plan to establish a system to certify the country’s Penitentiary Service, Justice Minister Grigor Minasyan said today.
He said all employees of penitentiary institutions will be certified. ‘The pilot program will be tested in the largest penitentiary institution in Armavir in about 2-3 months. After analyzing all its disadvantages and advantages, the system will be introduced in all other institutions as well," Minasyan said today when speaking at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on state and legal issues.
"In the next 3-4 years a new penitentiary institution will be commissioned and the four currently operating institutions will be closed,’ he said.
