Armenia to have school with in-depth teaching of Chinese language

A school with an in-depth learning of the Chinese language will open in Armenia, education and science minister Levon Mkrtchyan told a news conference on Monday.
YEREVAN, February 19. /ARKA/. A school with an in-depth learning of the Chinese language will open in Armenia, education and science minister Levon Mkrtchyan told a news conference on Monday.
He said the Chinese side has invested $11 million in its construction. The school is located on an area of 15 thousand square meters and meets all modern requirements.
He noted that the difference between this and other schools will be the fact that the teaching of the Chinese language will begin from the 5th grade.
According to Mkrtchyan, the Chinese side will provide teachers who will work in Armenia for 4-5 years before local teachers are trained. The minister noted that the construction of the school will be completed in September. -0-
