Armenia's permanent population on the rise

Armenia’s permanent population as of July 1, 2023, stood at 2,985,100 people, up from 2, 961, 900 a year ago, the National Statistical Committee (NSC) reported.
YEREVAN, August 7. /ARKA/. Armenia’s permanent population as of July 1, 2023, stood at 2,985,100 people, up from 2, 961, 900 a year ago, the National Statistical Committee (NSC) reported.
It said the urban population amounted to 1, 902,300 people, with 1,101,600 in the capital Yerevan. In rural areas the population stood at 1,082,800 people.
The natural population growth in the first half of the current year amounted to 35.8% against 112.5% in January-June of the last year. -0-
