YEREVAN, August 31. /ARKA/. Armenia has recorded 92 laboratory-confirmed cases of West Nile fever, according to the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention under the Ministry of Health.

West Nile fever is an acute viral disease transmitted by Culex mosquitoes. The incubation period typically lasts 2-6 days, but it can extend up to 14 days. Symptoms include headache, muscle pain, general weakness, fever, nausea, and vomiting.
At-risk groups include the elderly, individuals with cardiovascular diseases, chronic kidney conditions, cancer patients, and those with diabetes.
