The Armenian government has approved today a 60% rise in the salaries of a number of judges of courts of first instance.

YEREVAN, July 27. /ARKA/. The Armenian government has approved today a 60% rise in the salaries of a number of judges of courts of first instance.

The decision wills come into force on January 1, 2024. Justice Minister Grigor Minasyan told a government meeting that the decision will apply to 206 judges of first instance, administrative and bankruptcy courts out of the total 300.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan noted that the salaries of the appellate courts will be raised as well when possible. According to him, the decision is part of a plan to build 'a really independent courts in the country.' -0-
