Armenia to Introduce Electronic Cash Receipts for Medical Services
YEREVAN, February 11. /ARКА/. The National Assembly of Armenia adopted amendments to the Tax Code in the first reading at its session on Wednesday.
MP Tsovinar Vardanyan, a member of parliament from the ruling Civil Contract faction, stated that from now on, citizens in Armenia will be issued electronic cash receipt for all medical services.
"This law is in effect when using POS terminals—a cash receipt is issued, but this was not possible with payment terminals. Now, all this data will be collected in the Armed system program, specifically about the services used by citizens. This involves generating electronic cash receipts," Vardanyan noted.
According to her, it will also be possible to analyze all this data in the future and identify problems frequently encountered by citizens regarding health insurance, meaning that a unified information system will be in place in the long term.
She reminded that currently, when using medical services, people are required to make payments in a non-cash format, and these payments can be made through POS terminals and those installed in medical centers.-0-
