A powerful cyclone coming from the Mediterranean Sea, will bring more rains and snow to Armenia on March 22 and 23 afternoon and evening, with snow in Shirak, Lori, Tavush foothills, Aragatsotn, Kotayk and Vayots Dzor mountains, as well as in Gegharkunik region.
YEREVAN, March 22. /ARKA/. A powerful cyclone coming from the Mediterranean Sea, will bring more rains and snow to Armenia on March 22 and 23 afternoon and evening, with snow in Shirak, Lori, Tavush foothills, Aragatsotn, Kotayk and Vayots Dzor mountains, as well as in Gegharkunik region.
Precipitation will be intense in some areas. Thunderstorms, wind strengthening up to 20-25 m/s, snowstorms, low horizontal visibility are expected in some areas.
At the beginning of the week, a cyclone from the south raged over the territory of Armenia, bringing heavy precipitation: in the mountains the height of snow cover ranged from 20-50 cm to 1.5 meters. In some regions the monthly norm of precipitation fell during one day. -0-
