YEREVAN, March 29. /ARKA/. A department of Armenia’s State Revenue Committee in charge of e-commerce and air transportation has revealed a new case of violation of customs rules, the press service of the SRC reported.

It said a citizen who arrived in Yerevan on a flight from Abu Dhabi tried to smuggle in 40 Apple smartphones.

The man crossed the border in the "green zone" of customs control, which meant that he did not have goods subject to customs declaration.

However. having reasonable suspicion that the citizen was carrying goods subject to customs declaration, customs officers escorted him to the "red zone" of customs control, where during the inspection the cell phones were found in his luggage.

The case was referred to the legal department of the SRC. -0-
