YEREVAN, January 26. /ARKA/. Applications for Armenian citizenship will be accepted exclusively digitally starting in 2026, announced RA Interior Minister Arpine Sargsyan.

"Starting January 1, all verification processes will be carried out through the platform, including queue management and payment processing," Sargsyan noted while presenting the 2025 activity report of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

Earlier, it was reported that the Migration and Citizenship Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia updated its website, migration.mia.gov.am, and launched a Telegram channel, https://t.me/MCSArmenia. The website is accessible from various search platforms and from around the world and is fully adapted to device screens of various sizes.

To obtain or terminate Armenian citizenship, applicants must register on the online platform; then create, edit and submit a preliminary application for obtaining/terminating RA citizenship, after which the date of visiting the Migration Service (one visit is sufficient).
