YEREVAN, October 31. /ARKA/. Around 5.5 billion drams will be allocated in 2026 for Yerevan Metro development programs, announced Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan.

As the minister noted during the parliamentary discussion of the 2026 draft state budget on Friday, 2.5 billion drams of this amount will be channeled into r the repair of Yerevan Metro infrastructure, 2 billion drams will be spent on the construction of a new station, and 1 billion drams on passenger transportation.

Earlier, Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan announced that construction of the new, 11th, Ajapnyak metro station would begin in 2026.

The Yerevan Metro was established in 1981 and currently operates 10 metro stations, with a total line length of 13.4 km.-0-.
