US Vice President, his wife, and children arrive in Armenia
YEREVAN, February 9. /ARKA/. US Vice President J.D. Vance's plane landed at Yerevan's Zvartnots International Airport. His wife, Usha Vance, and their three children arrived with him. They were welcomed at the airport by Armenian National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan.
According to the press service of the Armenian government, a meeting between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the US Vice President will take place this evening, following which they will deliver statements.
Earlier, the US State Department stated that the purpose of the American delegation's visit to Armenia and Azerbaijan is to promote US President Donald Trump's peace initiatives and support the TRIPP (Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity) project.
Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan previously reported that during Vance's visit, new developments will be recorded that will expand the strategic partnership between Armenia and the United States, particularly in the areas of nuclear energy, transportation, mineral extraction, high technology, and security.-0-
