US and France Discuss Ensuring Peace Between Azerbaijan and Armenia
YEREVAN, August 5. /ARKA/. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke with French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot on Monday to reaffirm their commitment to ensuring that Iran never develops or acquires nuclear weapons, the State Department reported.
It said that they also discussed the humanitarian situation in Gaza, efforts to reach a ceasefire, ending the Russia-Ukraine war, securing peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and the ongoing conflict in Sudan.
During a meeting in Abu Dhabi on July 10, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijan's president agreed to continue bilateral talks and confidence-building measures between their countries.
According to the Armenian Foreign Ministry, they noted progress in the border delimitation process and instructed the relevant state commissions to continue practical work in this direction. In the meantime, mass media outlets are speculating about the potential signing of a peace treaty in Washington with the participation of former U.S. President Donald Trump later this week.-0-
