YEREVAN, April 5. /ARKA/. The US State Department is committed to promoting peace talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
"The United States, along with its EU partners, is committed to fostering a peaceful and prosperous future for the South Caucasus region, and stands ready to promote peace talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan," the State Department said in response to an inquiry by Voice of America radio station about the cooperation between the United States and France and possible prospects.
The State Department noted that direct dialog is key to solving problems and achieving durable peace.
"We continue to try to facilitate dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan through bilateral, partner, and multilateral organizations," it said.

In a related development, the U.S. State Department announced that the trilateral meeting between the United States, the European Union, and Armenia will discuss "U.S. and EU support for Armenia's economic resilience as the country works to diversify its trade partnership and address humanitarian needs." -0--
