YEREVAN, September 13. /ARKA/. 'We continue to work to resolve the situation between Armenia and Azerbaijan,' US Department of State spokesman Mathew Miller told a September 12 press briefing, adding that the United States calls for simultaneous reopening of both Lachin and Aghdam corridors to Nagorno-Karabakh.

Miller said that Secretary Blinken has been personally involved with multiple conversations with both sides just in the past week in helping Armenia and Azerbaijan to end their conflict

'We did note that in the last 24 hours one shipment of humanitarian supplies passed through the Aghdam route into Nagorno-Karabakh, and so we will reiterate our call on the specific question about the importance of opening both corridors (Lachin and Aghdam) into the country and as a more – as a short-term matter, and as a more long-term matter, the two countries coming to an ultimate agreement,' he said.

On September 12, a truck with Russian humanitarian cargo passed through the checkpoint in the town of Askeran and arrived in Nagorno-Karabakh capital Stepanakert.

Meantime, trucks with about 400 tons of humanitarian aid from Armenia have been waiting for more than a month and a half for the permission to enter Nagorno-Karabakh. There are also trucks with a humanitarian assistance from France. -0-
