The U.S. House Committee on Foreign Affairs unanimously passed a pro-Armenian amendment to the State Department Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2026, the Armenian Assembly of America (AAA) reports.

YEREVAN, September 26. /ARКА/. The U.S. House Committee on Foreign Affairs unanimously passed a pro-Armenian amendment to the State Department Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2026, the Armenian Assembly of America (AAA) reports. 

The amendment to H.R. 3000 was introduced by Ranking Member Gabe Amo of the Foreign Affairs Committee. 

"The amendment has the U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio engage with the Governments of Armenia and Azerbaijan to encourage the release of the Armenian prisoners of war, the protection of Armenian religious and historical sites, the safe return of the refugees of Nagorno-Karabakh, and a peaceful end to the military conflict.," the AAA stated.-0-
