YEREVAN, October 11. /ARKA/. US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller called "absolutely not true " Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s allegations about the US "geopolitical ambitions" in the South Caucasus, including in Nagorno-Karabakh.

In an article posted on Russian Foreign Ministry’s website, Lavrov also said that Brussels, caring about its geopolitical ambitions, imposes its "mediation services" on Azerbaijan and Armenia, bringing destabilization to the South Caucasus together with Washington.

“That’s absolutely not true. Our only goal in the South Caucasus, in the relationship between Armenia and Azerbaijan, is to ensure a lasting peace and stability and of course to ensure that the humanitarian needs and rights of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh are protected,’ Miller said. -0-
