Seventeen Armenian soldiers held captive in Azerbaijan

Seventeen Armenian servicemen are being held captive by Azerbaijan, Rafael Vardanyan, an official from Armenia's Investigative Committee, said at a press conference on Tuesday.
YEREVAN, October 27. /ARKA/. Seventeen Armenian servicemen are being held captive by Azerbaijan, Rafael Vardanyan, an official from Armenia's Investigative Committee, said at a press conference on Tuesday. He said information about two more captives is being specified.
He said the Investigative Committee is cooperating closely with the ECHR office in Armenia to take urgent measures to ensure the provision of medical assistance to the captives and their safety.
Vardanyan did not say how many Azerbaijani soldiers are held captive in Armenia, but noted that two of them were interrogated. He added that all the requirements of humanitarian law are applied to them.
Since the morning of September 27, when Azerbaijan attacked Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) with support from Turkish armed forces and mercenaries from the Middle East, Armenian armed forces have killed about 6,539 Azerbaijani soldiers, having wounded also many thousands. They have also destroyed 600 battle tanks and armored vehicles, 4 MLRS Smerch, 2 Uragan, 6 MLRS TOS-1A, 202 Eaves, 16 helicopters and 24 aircraft.
According to the official data of the Armenian side, while repelling the enemy's aggression, 1000 Armenian servicemen have been killed and several hundred wounded. Azerbaijani shelling have also killed 38 civilians in Nagorno-Karabakh and another 118 have been wounded.
Azerbaijani fire has also destroyed and damaged 7,800 real estate objects. Azerbaijan breached three ceasefire agreement reached with the mediation of Russia, France and USA. –0--
