Seriously ill patient dies in hospital in Nagorno-Karabakh
YEREVAN, December 19. /ARKA/. A seriously ill patient died in a hospital in Nagorno-Karabakh, its director Mher Musayelyan, said.
"The patient who had been on haemodialysis for over 15 years was to be sent to Armenia for examination and treatment. He passed away," he said.
Earlier on Monday, a patient with a serious cardiac pathology was transported from Nagorno-Karabakh to Yerevan with the mediation of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
It's already the 8th day that Azerbaijan has blocked the Lachin corridor - the only road linking Nagorno-Karabakh with Armenia and 120 thousand of its residents, including 30 thousand children, 20 thousand old people, 9 thousand people with disabilities are actually cut off from the world.
Every day 400 tons of basic necessities, including food, medicine and medical equipment are not delivered to Artsakh from Armenia due to the blockade. -0-
