YEREVAN, September 4. /ARKA/. Russia anticipates that its trade with Armenia will be cut in half by the end of the year in comparison to 2024, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk said during a press briefing at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), as reported by TASS.
"Regarding the trade relations between Russia and Armenia, there has been a notable decline, and we foresee that by the year's end, it will be halved relative to last year. As per Armstat, the trade turnover between Armenia and Russia in the first half of 2025 reached $3.4 billion, reflecting a 54.8% decrease compared to the first half of 2024. Concurrently, exports during this period fell by 6.2% to $1.3 billion, while imports from both the exporting nation and the receiving country dropped by 65.5% to $2.1 billion.-0-
