Ruben Vardanyan from Stepanakert: "We are under massive artillery shelling"

YEREVAN, September 19. /ARKA/. Former Nagorno-Karabakh State Minister Ruben Vardanyan reported massive artillery shelling by Azerbaijan.

"We are under a massive artillery shelling," Vardanyan, who is in Nagorno-Karabakh capital Stepanakert, wrote in his TG-channel.

'Armenia's leadership should recognize Artsakh and join the protection of its citizens,  Ruben Vardanyan said. "We must all protect our homeland!", he said.

The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported that "anti-terrorist measures of local nature have  been launched in the region in order to ensure and restore the constitutional order of the Republic of Azerbaijan." 

Earlier, Azerbaijan spread a disinformation claiming that as a result of shelling by Karabakh Defense Army units its soldiers were wounded.

The Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Ministry refuted this disinformation, reporting instead mortar fire from the Azerbaijani armed forces. -0-
