YEREVAN, April 8. /ARKA/. The opposition bloc "Armenia" presented the economic pillar of its election platform on Wednesday, emphasizing the revival of the country's economy, industry, and innovation.

Armenia parliamentary faction MP Artur Khachatryan, in particular, stated that the bloc's policies will be aimed at achieving Armenia's economic development and ensuring economic growth.

"Starting June 8, our bloc's policy will be aimed at 'reviving' industry and creating a high-tech economy. We will have a competitive Armenia based on our competitive advantages," Khachatryan noted.

According to him, a "Made in Armenia" policy is planned, and everything produced in the country should be associated with high quality and technological excellence.

He stated that industry's share of GDP will be 25%. "Programs will also be implemented to stimulate a high-tech, innovative, and knowledge-based economy and support local producers. A tax cashback policy for small businesses will be introduced, and taxes paid will be returned to companies. There are also plans to finance real economic growth and review the 'blacklists' of borrowers," Khachatryan said.

According to Armstat, industrial output in Armenia in January-February 2026 amounted to 491.5 billion drams (at current prices), an increase of 17.2% compared to January-February 2025.
