Reshuffle in government not discussed so far – Armenian parliament vice-speaker

Denying rumors going around about reshuffle that is being prepared in the government, Armenian National Assembly Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov told journalists on Friday after a meeting of the board of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia that no issues related to reshuffle in the government have been discussed so far.

YEREVAN, February 1. /ARKA/. Denying rumors going around about reshuffle that is being prepared in the government, Armenian National Assembly Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov told journalists on Friday after a meeting of the board of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia that no issues related to reshuffle in the government have been discussed so far. 

He also told journalists that at its session, the board of the Republican Party of Armenia rated highly Armenia’s delegation in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and expressed appreciation of its resent successful efforts to foil passage of one of two anti-Armenian resolutions in the PACE.

In his words, the party also welcomes French President Francois Hollande’s proposal to criminalize denial of the Armenian Genocide.  

Sharmazanov also said that the party has not chosen yet a scheme of its cooperation with the Armenian Revolutionary Federation/ Dashnaktsutiun party, which earlier accepted its invitation to the ruling coalition. 

Discussion over the matter, he said, is under way now and a decision is likely to be made after the next meeting of the party board.

The deputy speaker also said that no candidates have been discussed yet for the post of the ombudsman. ---0----
