Armenian President Armen Sarkissian received on Friday the newly appointed Minister of Defense Vagharshak Harutyunyan, the presidential press service reported.

YEREVAN, November 20. /ARKA/. Armenian President Armen Sarkissian received on Friday the newly appointed Minister of Defense Vagharshak Harutyunyan, the presidential press service reported.

It said Sarkissian congratulated Harutyunyan on his appointment to the responsible post and wished him success.

On Friday, President Armen Sarkissian signed decrees on the resignations and appointments of heads of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Labor according to the proposals of the Prime Minister.
Thus, David Tonoyan was dismissed as Defense Minister, and was replaced with Vagharshak Harutyunyan.

Also, the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Zaruhi Batoyan was dismissed and replaced with Mesrop Arakelyan. Felix Tsolakyan was relieved of his post as head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and replaced with Andranik Piloyan. -0-
