Peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan will eliminate incitement to hatred: Yerevan responds to Baku's statement on the "1918 genocide"
YEREVAN, April 1. /ARKA/. Peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan will not only serve to establish stable, peaceful coexistence and good-neighborly relations between the two states and societies, but will also put an end to far-fetched arguments and eliminate the incitement to hatred.

This is how Armenian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ani Badalyan commented on the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry's statement released yesterday, which made false accusations that "Armenian groups committed genocide against Azerbaijanis in 1918." "Over the course of the conflict, which has a history spanning several decades, a number of hostile, false narratives have emerged, which, unfortunately, continue to be used in Azerbaijan, including at the state level," Badalyan stated in response to a request from the Armenpress news agency.

The Foreign Ministry spokesperson recalled that paragraph 5 of the Washington Declaration of August 8, 2025, clearly states the possibility of closing the chapter of hostility between the two peoples and beginning good-neighborly relations after a conflict that has caused untold human suffering.
