Pashinyan says government should justify citizens’ expectations
YEREVAN, May 15. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister  Nikol Pashinyan has introduced  today First Deputy Prime Minister Ararat Mirzoyan as well as deputy prime ministers Tigran Avinyan and Mher Grigoryan to the government apparatus.

Pashinyan first of all congratulated the appointees, wishing them success and noted that they all have serious work to do, since it is necessary to justify the expectations of the Armenian people.

"We have important work to do, and we must justify the hopes of the citizens of Armenia and the Armenian people, because we must not forget that we are here by their decision, and hence we must leave also by their decision," Pashinyan said.

According to him, Armenian citizens should feel that they are the most important source of decision-making, and the government's activities should be logical taking into account the arguments that, being presented to the society, will convince it of the correctness of the decisions taken.

Pashinyan also stressed that the executive branch should not follow the path of populism, but must have the mandate of the society to accomplish all its actions.

The prime minister visited also the ministry of finance to introduce new finance minister Atom Janjugazyan. Pashinyan said Janjugazyan has worked for many years for the ministry and has a serious role in its establishment. He said the government needs to draft the program of medium-term expenditures and prepare the country's budget for 2019.

Pashinyan expressed confidence that Janjugazyan  will be able to carry out all these tasks properly. -0-
