Pashinyan and Klaar discuss situation in Karabakh and Armenian-Turkish dialogue

YEREVAN, March 15. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received on Tuesday EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia Toivo Klaar.

According to the Armenian government press office, Pashinyan and Klaar spoke about the developments taking place in the South Caucasus, the current situation in and around Nagorno-Karabakh and the latest escalation of tension there.

Pashinyan and Klaar also exchanged views on the demarcation and delimitation of the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan, unblocking communication routes, and the Armenian-Turkish dialogue to normalize relations.

Both sides stressed the need for a comprehensive settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs.

Pashinyan expressed satisfaction with the dynamic development of the Armenia-EU partnership and the efforts aimed at strengthening relations.

Touching upon the democratic reforms in Armenia, Pashinyan stressed that the government is steadily implementing its democratic agenda and thanked the EU for supporting this process.

Klaar noted that the European Union confirms its readiness to support democratic reforms in Armenia. The parties agreed to continue active contacts. -0-
