YEREVAN, July 8. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has decided to spearhead the battle for 'liberation' of Echmiadzin (the seat of the head of the Armenian Apostolic Church) from “anti-Christian, adulterous, anti-national, anti-state” top clergy.

"Beyond all the discussions, the most important thing has become clear during this period: there is no connection between Jesus Christ and his teachings and Krtich Nersisyan, Vazgen Galstanyan, Gevorg Ajapahyan and several others (the head of the Church Catholicos Karekin II and Archbishops Bagrat Galstanyan and Mikael Ajapahyan respectively) . The abode of Christ, the place where the Only Begotten Son descended, has been captured by an anti-Christian, adulterous, anti-national, anti-state group and must be liberated. I will lead this liberation," he wrote on social media.

Earlier, Pashinyan wrote on social media that "If Ktrich Nersisyan (the secular name of Catholicos Karekin II) considers the detention (of Archbishops) Galstanyan and Ajapahyan to be illegal, then he shares the ideology and plans of the above-mentioned persons to carry out a military coup, shoot people against a wall, and create chaos in the country."

“Moreover, in this case, no territory of the community of Vagharshapat (Echmiadzin is located in this community) can be closed to law enforcement agencies, especially since, thanks to Ktrich and several other individuals, these territories are not closed to adultery,” Pashinyan noted.-0-
