OSCE welcomes progress made by Armenia and Azerbaijan towards peace deal
YEREVAN, April 8, /ARKA/ The OSCE Chairmanship welcomed the meeting of the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan under the aegis of the President of the European Council, the Polish OSCE Chairmanship tweeted.
The Chairmanship also welcomed the "launching of the process toward the possible peace agreement."
"The CiO stands ready to assist in all efforts to ensure a stable and peaceful environment in the South Caucasus," it said.
The tweet comes after April 6 meeting of the Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Brussels, mediated by the European Council President Charles Michel.
After the meeting the Armenian government said the leaders of both countries agreed to start preparations for launch of peace talks and set up a joint commission on delimitation and subsequent demarcation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.-0-
