Opposition MP calls ‘the authorities’ crackdown on Dashnaktsutyun’ unlawful
YEREVAN, June 18. /ARKA/. Artsvik Minasyan, the secretary of Armenia’s Hayastan opposition party, pointed out a “crackdown on Dashnaktsutyun by the authorities” and called it unlawful and immoral.
“The Armenian authorities use all means to fight against people and political powers that have declared their stance in support of Armenia and Artsakh,” Minasyan stated at a press conference on Tuesday.
Minasyan claimed that the authorities have been “attacking” Dashnaktsutyun for long, using various methods, such as ban on entry to Armenia, searches and detentions.
“A total of five people are currently under arrest. One person has a foreign travel ban. These numbers do not include the people who were detained during the Tavush for Homeland protests,” Minasyan said.
