YEREVAN, January 20. /ARKA/. Azerbaijan has partially reopened the only pipeline that brings natural gas to Nagorno-Karabakh from Armenia, but due to low pressure the natural gas is delivered with certain restrictions, the Artsakh Information Center reported.

The natural gas supplies were cut off since January 18.

"In order to ensure the uninterrupted operation of vital infrastructures and the minimum needs of the population, a limited amount of natural gas will be available for Stepanakert homes, district gas filling stations and some strategic facilities," the Center said. It urged the population to be cautious and observe the rules of safe natural gas usage.

The only road connecting Artsakh and Armenia has been blockaded by Azerbaijan since December 12, 2022. Before the blockade about 400 tons of food was supplied to Artsakh from Armenia daily.

About a thousand people (including several dozen children, have been separated from their families.

Pharmacies are running out of stocks of all medicines.  Fuel is running out, food is running out and shops are empty. Kindergartens are closed because it is not possible to provide food for children

Some 120,000 people (including 30,000 children and 20,000 elderly) are on the verge of a humanitarian crisis. -0-
