Kocharyan sees only two top-rated political activists in Armenia

Karen Kocharyan, a political technologist, thinks there are only two high-rated political activists now in Armenia – Karen Karapetyan, the prime minister and n entrepreneur, and Gagik Tsarukyan, founder of Prosperous Armenia party.
YEREVAN, January 23. /ARKA/. Karen Kocharyan, a political technologist, thinks there are only two high-rated political activists now in Armenia – Karen Karapetyan, the prime minister and n entrepreneur, and Gagik Tsarukyan, founder of Prosperous Armenia party.
He is quoted by Novosti-Armenia as saying that Tsarukyan has lost some supporters, particularly those tuned to substantial changes.
Kocharyan told journalists that the ruling Republican Party of Armenia possesses real resources.
In his opinion, the opposition has absolutely no chances and therefore opposition-minded political activists are coming together and unifying into alliances now.
Nevertheless, in his opinion, Tsarukyan still control certain downgrade categories of people, i.e. people having no property and living thanks to occasional earnings, who are ready to take to the streets.
Kocharyan said that it will be possible to speak about this after February 16, when parties and alliances will unveil their election lists, but added that he don’t think things could change dramatically.
Parliamentary elections in Armenia are scheduled for April 2, 2017. --0----
