YEREVAN, September 8. /ARKA/. Karen Sargsyan has been appointed as new governor of the Gegharkunik region of Armenia. The relevant decision was made on Wednesday at a meeting of the government.

Sargsyan previously served as chairman of the Water Committee. The former governor of the region, Gnel Sanosyan, was appointed as Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures on August 2, 2021. -0-
