YEREVAN, September 20. /ARKA/. International actors want Azerbaijan to carry on its aggression against Nagorno-Karabakh and kill as many ethnic Armenians as possible, said Tigran Abrahamyan from the opposition Pativ Unem alliance in the Armenian parliament.

"Although Azerbaijan has been declaring since yesterday its readiness for negotiations with Nagorno-Karabakh, it actually is evading talks, which means that the bloodshed will continue. Even now international players are not taking action to stop the war. We see that the Armenian government is ready to watch all this silently and in cold blood, we see that everyone has problems with Armenian traitors for different reasons, but people living in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) must not be hostage to geopolitical problems. Finally, stop the war, otherwise it will become quite obvious that the main international actors are also interested in the continuation of the war and huge casualties," Abrahamyan wrote on Facebook.

He stated that the war declared on Artsakh has entered an extremely bloody stage. "On the one hand, Azerbaijan is squeezing the ring, on the other hand, the people of Artsakh are fighting as best they can. With hunger, lack of fuel and all sorts of supplies for 9 months of blockade, they continue fighting. Azerbaijan has weakened Artsakh people by blockade before the war and only then started the attack, but even in these terrible conditions people fight," he said.

Earlier on Sept. 19, Azerbaijan launched a military operation in Nagorno-Karabakh with the claimed "goal of restoring the constitutional order." -0-
