YEREVAN, March 18. /ARKA/. Since 2023, approximately 145 billion drams (approximately $380 million) have been allocated from the state budget of Armenia through various programs for the needs of compatriots displaced from Karabakh, announced RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
Speaking at a conference dedicated to the problems of persons displaced from Karabakh, he reported that 1,700 families have currently acquired housing.
"This figure is significant, since there is a functioning mechanism. On the one hand, this is a good indicator of the mechanism's effectiveness, but on the other, it worries us. We want all this to be fully implemented," Pashinyan said.
According to him, the authorities should focus on assisting those displaced from Karabakh in Armenia, including with obtaining citizenship and settling in the republic. The prime minister noted that this is important both politically and psychologically.
