The government with all its agencies has to be a flexible and efficient team, the newly appointed prime minister Karen Karapetyan said today during a meeting with members of the Public Council.
YEREVAN, September 24. /ARKA/. The government with all its agencies has to be a flexible and efficient team, the newly appointed prime minister Karen Karapetyan said today during a meeting with members of the Public Council.
According to him, this is why he has embarked on structural changes in the government. "Not only names (of ministries) are being changed. The transformations suggests serious content and targeted functions," he was quoted as saying by the government’s press service.
Presenting the rationale behind the proposed changes, Karapetyan noted that the ministry of investment and business support (formerly ministry of economy) will be the state structure that will discuss the issues raised by business people and help eradicate the existing barriers.
The prime minister also stressed the importance of education and science as a basis for the development of any industry, stressing that the new government will give a new impetus to educational reforms.
Karapetyan said the new government considers the public at large as a partner in solving the problems, adding that the Public Council is one of the channels through which the Cabinet will be building the dialogue with the society.
In this regard, he invited members of the Public Council to submit concrete proposals and projects .-- 0--
