YEREVAN, October 13. /ARKA/. Armenia’s former transport minister, Gagik Beglaryan, may get into trouble soon, since the authorities have targeted him and he may be prosecuted for tax evasion, Haykakan Zhamanak reports referring to its own sources.
The authors of the publication say that recently the tax agency released information about Corsan-Corviam Construccion, which is building one of North-South motor way’s sections, obliging the company to transfer the skim money amounting to AMD 1 billion (around $2 million) to the government budget.
According to the newspaper, Gagik Beglaryan has a share in this construction.
There were also reports that Gevorg Baghdasaryan and Henrikh Baghdasaryan, wanted by the police, had been found in one of the facilities belonging to Beglaryan.
The authorities are reportedly warning Beglaryan that if he tries to say or do something able to harm them, this affair, like many others, will come to the surface.
The authors of the publication took notice of the fact that Gagik Beglaryan was not present at the ceremony of introduction of the new premier to the staff and was absent also from the session of the executive board of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia. --0---
