A group of former officials, including the former Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, have been detained in Armenia, the Public Television of Armenia (PTA) reports, citing the Anti-Corruption Committee.

YEREVAN, April 8. /ARKA/. A group of former officials, including the former Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, have been detained in Armenia, the Public Television of Armenia (PTA) reports, citing the Anti-Corruption Committee.

"As part of the criminal case being investigated by the Anti-Corruption Committee on charges of committing criminal acts under various articles of the RA Criminal Code, a group of individuals have been detained, including the former Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of the RA and other former high-ranking officials," the department stated, adding that due to the interests of the investigation, no further information could be provided.

According to the PTA, former Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Artem Asatryan is among those detained. Armenpress also reports the detention of former head of the State Property Management Department Arman Sahakyan.
