Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has appointed today Edmon Marukyan as ambassador –at-large. Edmon Marukyan is the leader of the Bright Armenia Party, which failed to win a parliament seat in 2021 snap parliamentary elections.

YEREVAN, March 14. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has appointed today Edmon Marukyan as ambassador-at-large. Edmon Marukyan is the leader of the Bright Armenia Party, which failed to win a parliament seat in 2021 snap parliamentary elections.

Marukyan was elected parliament member three times. In 2012 he was elected from a constituency in his hometown Vanadzor; in 2017 he was elected on the ticket of Yelk bloc, which included the current ruling Civil Contract party of Pashinyan and the Hanrapetutyun party. In 2018, he became an MP on the electoral list of his Bright Armenia party. -0-
