YEREVAN, April 25. /ARKA/. Delimitation of the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan on the basis of the Alma-Ata Declaration is an important step towards a peace agreement, State Department Deputy Spokesman Vedant Patel said.

“We welcome the announcement that Armenia and Azerbaijan have agreed on the 1991 Alma-Ata Declaration as the basis for the delimitation of the border between the two countries. This is an important step towards a lasting and dignified peace agreement,” he said at the briefing.
