Azerbaijani troops used shock UAVs against combat positions of Karabakh army

On August 11, at 08:29 and 08:58, Azerbaijani armed forces used shock UAVs in the direction of the combat positions of the Defense Army of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), the press service of the Artsakh Defense Ministry reported.

YEREVAN, August 11. /ARKA/. On August 11, at 08:29 and 08:58, Azerbaijani armed forces used shock UAVs in the direction of the combat positions of the Defense Army of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), the press service of the Artsakh Defense Ministry reported.

It said there were no casualties on the Armenian side. It said also that the incident was reported to the command of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, deployed in Nagorno-Karabakh.

On August 9, Azerbaijani armed forces violated the ceasefire between 16.00- 22.00 in the southwestern section of the border in the Shosh-Mkhitarashen region. Besides small arms, the Azerbaijani troops used also an SPG-9 anti-tank grenade launcher, firing 3 shells in the direction of the Armenian positions.

On September 27, 2020, Azerbaijani armed forces, backed by Turkey and foreign mercenaries and terrorists, attacked Nagorno-Karabakh along the entire front line using rocket and artillery weapons, heavy armored vehicles, military aircraft and prohibited types of weapons such as cluster bombs and  phosphorus weapons.

After 44 days of the war, on November 9, the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia signed a statement on the cessation of all hostilities. According to the document, the town of Shushi, the districts of Agdam, Kelbajar and Lachin were handed over to Azerbaijan, with the exception of a 5-kilometer corridor connecting Karabakh with Armenia. 

A Russian peacekeeping contingent was deployed along the contact line in Karabakh and along the Lachin corridor. -0-
