Azerbaijani troops fire at Armenian positions near Yeraskh
YEREVAN, July 16. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Defense Ministry said today morning at about 11:00 am Azerbaijani troops deployed in its autonomous republic of Nakhichevan opened fire in the direction of the Armenian positions located on the Yeraskh section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
It said Armenian troops resorted to countermeasures. There were no casualties or wounded on the Armenian side, according to the ministry.
The village of Yeraskh is located on the outskirts of the Ararat region of Armenia along the Yerevan-Stepanakert highway.
On July 14 morning, at around 10.30 am, a shootout on the Yeraskh section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border was provoked by Azerbaijanis. As a result of the shootout, a soldier of the Armenian armed forces received a fatal gunshot wound. -0-
