YEREVAN, June 19. /ARKA/. Azerbaijan's actions definitely do not contribute to building peace in the South Caucasus region, Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan told journalists in the parliament.

"The activities of Azerbaijan and its military and political leadership, particularly creation of tension on the border, shelling of Armenia's sovereign territory and creating tension in Nagorno-Karabakh do not contribute to building peace and stability in the South Caucasus and put under doubt Azerbaijan's statements that it wishes to establish peace and stability," said Vahan Kostanyan, commenting on the increasing attacks by Azerbaijan.

The defense ministries of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh have been reporting the shelling of Armenian positions by Azerbaijani forces in various directions on a daily basis. -0-
