Artsakh state minister: Azerbaijan continues its Armenophobic and Nazi rhetoric
YEREVAN, May 2. /ARKA/. Azerbaijani leadership continues its Armenophobic and Nazi rhetoric along with military and psychological aggression against the Armenian population of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), Artsakh State Minister Artak Beglaryan said in an interview with Russian Federal News Agency (RIA-FAN).
He said over the last two months this policy has become more dangerous amid Russia's conflict with Ukraine.
'Moreover, Azerbaijan openly and systematically displays Russophobia and aggressive behavior against Russia. The invasion of Parukh village, which is the area of responsibility of Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh being a vivid example," Beglaryan said.
According to him, however, even in the face of such provocations, the military and political guarantees of the Russian Federation certainly restrain Azerbaijan's attempts to expel Armenians from Artsakh.
"We are sure that Russia is also interested in the security and further growth and development of the Armenian indigenous population in Artsakh," Beglaryan said.
He added that Azerbaijan has created various hotbeds of tension in Artsakh, having disrupted the pace of solution of many problems.
"Moreover, as a result of the seizure of Parukh and Karaghlukh, there are new displaced families, new housing problems that also need to be solved, and the new security risks have also affected to some extent the financing of ongoing programs," Beglaryan said.
He also reminded that there are certain water security risks, as water sources in different areas are located on the territories under Azerbaijani occupation. Besides, in a number of settlements the Azerbaijani side does not allow using the sources under their control, 'so we started building alternative networks.' -0-
