YEREVAN, November 11. /ARKA./ Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan said  in a live broadcast on his Facebook page  today he was ready to name the traitors who  “sold our land”.

“I first spoke about  the problem on October 3, when the enemy, having seized Mataghis and Talish, threatened our entire north frontline. When they (volunteers) fled in panic the Yeghnikner position, we did not have the human resources to protect the rear of the guys. On the day when we were to go to the front with the special NSS forces that arrived from Armenia, and with our strongest elite units, they refused to go to Yeghnikner. I begged them,  but received a negative answer. They did not come, they left the president alone on the front line. Ask the members of the most elite unit of the NSS  how they rejected my request. I asked, I begged, because the strongest part of the army was on the front line, and the rear was open. Ask what they told  the head of state. Of course, a small part of the army joined me, and we were able to complete the task and thanks to this, part of Yeghnikner  is under our control today,” he said.

According to Harutyunyan, he always warned that there was an acute shortage of human resources.

“I don’t want to say how many people joined, but we left the army, 18-year-old guys alone. There were many volunteers - some honestly completed their tasks until the last, and some did not last a day. Some of the reservists stayed for a few hours, some for a few days. Who sold the land? We sold it. We betrayed our soldiers, our 18-year-old children. All together betrayed. Don't look for traitors,' he stressed.

The Artsakh President noted that those politicians who are looking for traitors today, let everyone of them tell where they were.

“You were supposed to be on the front lines. Whoever you ask - everyone was on Omar. Yes, there were heavy fighting, but the position was restored in a short time thanks to the military. By taking a selfie, you deceived the nation,” he said.
Harutyunyan noted that the truce was concluded at the end because the soldiers were in danger of being surrounded.

“We did not have defenders of Stepanakert, because the military was on the front line. Where were the volunteers, the militia, where are my dear Stepanakert people who are now looking for the guilty? There were several dozen, maximum 100-200 people. Could we stop the 600,000-strong enemy? And after the capture of Stepanakert, after a few kilometers, they would have surrounded our entire army - 18-20-year-old guys in Martuni, Karmir Shuka. Ask the military who betrayed them. We have betrayed- the whole nation. Betrayed because 18-20 year olds could not fight against 6, 7, 8 states. I bow to the dead, to those guys who are still defending their positions, ” he said.

He said  the traitors are those men who left Stepanakert, Karabakh, took refuge in Yerevan and today are looking for the guilty, ran from basement to basement so as not to go to the front.

The President called on the people of Artsakh to stay away from political phenomena and not to participate in the protests  on the streets of Yerevan.

“This is not appropriate for the people of Artsakh. Do not get involved in political intrigues. I urge everyone to return to Karabakh. During these two days we will resolve the issue of infrastructures - water, electricity and natural gas. Today we promise that there will be no social problems. We do not have a final decision on what to do. But we want to assure that the roads will be safe. Do not transport your property from Artsakh to Armenia. You will be convinced that we will live in Artsakh, and we will live even better than elsewhere, because we are not expected anywhere, in any country,” he stressed. -0-
