By a vote of 22 to 9, David Ishkhanyan, a member of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) faction, has been elected chairman of the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) National Assembly.

Artsakh parliament has new speaker

YEREVAN, August 7. /ARKA/. By a vote of 22 to 9, David Ishkhanyan, a member of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) faction, has been elected chairman of the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) National Assembly.

David Ishkhanyan was nominated for the vacant post by the ruling 'Motherland faction.

The position became vacant after previous chairman Artur Tovmasyan resigned on July 29. -0-
