Armenian prime minister’s office to have 34.5% less funding in 2022
YEREVAN, November 3. /ARKA/. Armenian government’s draft budget designed for 20222 has earmarked 19.6 billion for the staff of the prime minister, Finance Minister Tigran Khachatryan said today.
Speaking at a parliament discussion on the draft budget, he said next year’s budget of the staff is down from more 34 billion drams envisaged for this year.
The minister explained the 34.5% decrease in the funding by the fact that a string of programs and activities that were implemented r by the Prime Minister's office will be carried out by other government agencies, including the Ministry of High-Tech Industry.
Khachatryan also said that the 2022 budgets of the staff of the President and the National Assembly will not change compared to 2021.
He said 1.6 billion drams are earmarked for the presidential staff in 2022, while the funding of the parliament is about 6 billion drams.
The draft budget for 2022 calls for 1 trillion 946 billion drams in revenue (17% more compared to 2021), and 2 trillion 190 billion drams in spending (10% more than last year). The economic growth forecast is 7%. ($1 - 477.21 drams). --0--
