Armenian president makes new appointments to Armenian armed forces
YEREVAN, June 15. /ARKA/. Armenian President Armen Sarkissian signed several decrees today on appointments to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia, the presidential press service reported.
It said by a decree of the head of state, Tiran Khachatryan was appointed as First Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
By another decree, Komitas Muradyan was relieved of his post as First Deputy Chief of the Main Operations Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
Karen Abrahamyan was appointed as head of the Main Operations Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces and Deputy Chief of the General Staff.
Former Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Artak Davtyan was dismissed on June 8. On the same day, he was replaced by Lieutenant General Onik Gasparyan. --0--
