Armenian president formally appoints Pashinyan as prime minister

Armenian President Armen Sarkissian signed a decree on Tuesday appointing formally Nikol Pashinyan as prime minister of the country.
YEREVAN, May 8. /ARKA/. Armenian President Armen Sarkissian signed a decree on Tuesday appointing formally Nikol Pashinyan as prime minister of the country.
In a related news president of the Artsakh Republic (Nagorno-Karabakh) Bako Sahakyan sent a congratulatory message to Nikol Pashinyan on the occasion of his election as Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.
"I hope that the government you will form will continue to do everything possible to strengthen the Armenian independent statehood, strengthen the country’s defense capability, raise the standard of living of the people, expand and deepen the interaction of the two Armenian states, and the Armenia-Artsakh-Diaspora trinity," the message says.
He congratulated Pashinyan on behalf of the people and the authorities of the Republic of Artsakh and wished peace, good health and great success for the good of the country and the Armenian people. -0-
